About the event
Wondering how you can use flowers beyond beautiful cut flower displays? Curious about how fabrics can be dyed naturally? Interested in bees and how we can help pollinators? Come to the Remington United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on Saturday, August 9, 12pm-2pm!
Join a hands-on activity with Becky Garringer (The Quilter’s Mercantile, Remington, VA), discovering how to press flowers onto fabric to create natural dye prints. Then learn more about honey bees through a fun Intro to Bee Biology & the Hive Society presentation by Kerri Griffin (Ambrose Apiary, Culpeper, VA).
This is a FREE event open to anyone and everyone! All supplies needed will be provided. In fact, the flowers to be used in the hands-on activity are being grown right here at Remington Community Garden!
Please share this event with anyone you think may be interested!
